Secondary
education involve subjects which need to be learn by doing so as students can
be able to understand and use the knowledge in solving different social
problems. But there are government
secondary schools which do not use practical lessons during teaching.
This
chapter introduces the study on “challenges facing science teachers on
conducting practical lessons in government secondary schools in HAI district
". The chapter comprises of the background to the research problem,
statement of the problem and research questions. It also covers significance of
the study and delimitation of the study and .Finally, the definitions of key
terms are presented.
